Focus of Personal Work:

The objective of my work is to improve the health care delivery system through the design and application of culturally informed engineering solutions. My current work focuses on accounting for cultural factors in the design of consumer health IT. In my dissertation, I am looking at how consumer health IT may be designed to support culturally diverse patients with communicating health information with members of their social network (e.g., friends, family, neighbors)
